Ordinance No. 80-76-13 v ORDINANCE NO. 80- 7 6 L 18 AN ORDINANCE, AMENDING, ADDING TO AND REPEALING PARTS THERETO OF CHAPTER 19, CODE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, ENTITLED "SEWERS AND SEWAGE DISPOSAL"; ESTABLISHING RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL SEWER AND SEWER DISPOSAL CONNECTION CHARGES; PROVIDING FOR THE INVESTMENT OF FUNDS; REPEALING ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPTE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. The sewer service connection charge for the following listed living units and commercial units is hereby established: Residences CONNECTION CHARGE Single-family $350.00 Apartments (per living unit) $350.00 Trailers (per living unit) $350.00 Mobile homes (per living unit) $350.00 Commercial CONNECTION CHARGE Office Buildings $ 18.00 per 100 sq. ft. Grocery Stores $ 20.00 per 100 sq. ft. Retail shops $180.00 per rest room Theatres (based on seating capacity) $ 1.80 per seat Restaurants (based on seating capacity) $ 9.00 per seat. Service stations $500.00 Beauty parlors, barbershops $ 20.00 per chair Coin-operated laundromats $ 30.00 per single load machine Hotels, motels, etc. $144.00 per rest roan SECTION 2. The city treasurer is hereby directed to receive such connection charge and cause sane to be invested in interest-bearing securities that are most advantageous to the city's interest. Such securities shall be entitled "City of Atlantic Beach, Sewer Plant Fund." The sole purpose of such "Sewer Plant Fund" shall be used for capital improvements to the sewer plant. SECTION 3. Ordinances, parts of Ordinances and Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage on final reading. ***************** Passed by the City Commission on first reading on March 22 , , 1976.
