AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REPEALING PARTS THERETO OF
CHAPTER 27 , CODE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
ENTITLED WATER SUPPLY . BEING AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND
ESTABLISHING RATES AND CHARGES GOVERNING THE SALE AND
DISTRIBUTION OF WATER BY THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH.
REGULATING THE SERVICE RENDERED CUSTOMERS THEREOF .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA .
SECTION I - That Section 27-12 . Charges for Water Services be amended
to wit;
(a) Customers within city.
(1) Singles Units . The minimum bill for a single
unit shall be for 15 , 000 gallons of water , and shall be $6 . 00
per quarter . All water used in excess of 15 , 000 gallons
shall be charged at the rate of $ . 15 per one thousand
gallons .
(2) Multiple Units . For all multiple units served
through the same meter , the rates shall be in accordance
with the following scale , and the minimum allowance shall
be in direct proportion to the minimum rate paid allowing
2 , 500 gallons for each $1 . 00 the quarterly minimum rate .
All excess gallonage shall be charged for at the same rate
as provided for single units above .
2 units - $ 9 . 00 per quarter
3 units - 12 . 00 per quarter
4 units - 15 . 00 per quarter
5 units - 18 . 00 per quarter
6 units - 21 . 00 per quarter
7 units - 24 . 00 per quarter
All units over 7 - $2 . 50 per quarter for each additional
unit .
SECTION II - Section 27-6 . Fee to re-establish service after cut-off is
hereby amended to wit ;
In the event that water service is turned off , either
because of delinquency or upon the request of the consumer,
for any purpose , a cut-in fee of $5 . 00 shall be charged and
paid when water is turned. A delinquent fee of $5 . 00 will
be charged if an account is not paid within 30 days of billing
period.
SECTION III - EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall take effect July 1 , 1976 .
