Scope: To Assess the current property and provide recommendations and my professional
opinion on the health and structure of the (2) trees and any risk they may pose.
Tree Species: Quercus virginiana
Common Name: live oak
DBH: 22”
Location: Front left corner of the home
Live oak has multiple codominant leaders with heavy included bark that has created weak branch
attachments. Large laterals hanging over the target (home). Specimen is within 1 ft of the target (home) Specimen is
creating damages to the gutters and roof. Root system is encroaching the foundation and causing large cracks in the
foundation, concrete and pavers compromising the structural integrity of the home.

Location: Front left corner of the home
Live oak has codominant leaders with the right leader hanging over the roof creating a risk of damages to
the roof and gutters.
Conclusion: Upon conducting a level 1 visual inspection, both live oaks pose a threat to the
target (home). The 1st live oak has caused damages to the homes foundation and meets the
requirements for removal. The 2nd live oak poses a threat to the home as well but mitigation
options are available to remove the right lead and the specimen appears to be hea lthy enough to
with stand and heal from a proper cut back to the base. The home owners wish to eliminate all
residual risk to the home.
