Upon inspection of the property, I found a Water oak three that poses an unnecessary risk
to person and property the tree has several large sections that are completely dead and rotting. The
main trunk of the tree is full. of holes and rot can be seen in the tree. the tree is a high risk and
should be removed.

City of Atlantic Beach:
I am seeking city permission to remove a four -trunk Water Oak on my property. The
interconnected trees are at the end of their life; three different arborists came examined the
tree. One of these was Mike Huffman, who is on the Atlantic Beach Verified Tree Service
Provider list. Each arborist said the same thing: that the tree was dying and poses a danger to
nearby properties.
Attached with the materials for the permit is an arborist letter as well as photos that I took of
the tree(s). The trunks all connect at the ground level and thus share partial root systems. As
you can see in the images, the base of each of the trunks is showing rot and one of the trunks is
completely dead.
