This letter is in regards to the current status and condition of a Water
oak (Quercus nigra) tree located at the Johnson residence at 2322
Beachcomber Trail Atlantic Beach, Florida 32233. The tree is located in
the front yard next to the driveway of the property.
The tree has a 26” DBH (DBH= diameter at breast height) and is within
4’ feet of the corner of the house. This close proximity to the house
can cause foundation issues. Additionally, it has a large dead lateral
section over the house. The tree is clearly in a state of decline and is
most likely at the end of its life span.
As a result of these conditions the tree could be considered a liability
and should be removed.
