Re: Tree Evaluation on: 12" Sable Palm
On Wednesday, June 29th, I evaluated a 12" Sable Palm located at 500 Clipper Ship Lane, Atlantic Beach. The
tree has fungus with a active insect infestation. There is also visible wood pecker damage from the birds
feeding on the insects. There is also decay present in the trunk The Palm is 50' tall and located 2' from the
house. With the height of the palm and decay in the trunk, the possibility of the palm failing in a wind event is
high. The targets of failure are pool, hardscape, boat, truck, home and people.
I recommend Removal.
