AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA; AMENDING CHAPTER 22,
ARTICLE II, SECTION 22-18 SUBPARAGRAPH (c) TO
INCREASE THE CHARGE FOR CONNECTION TO THE CITY WATER
SYSTEM FROM TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) TO TWENTY DOLLARS
($20.00) PER FIXTURE UNIT; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA
Section 1. Chapter 22, Article II, Section 22-18, subparagraph (c)
is hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 22
UTILITIES
ARTICLE II. WATERWORKS SYSTEM
Section 22-18. Connection Charges; initial payment of minimum
water rental
(c) For the purpose of this subsection and subsection (d) of this
section, fixture units are established as the measurement of
water demand for each water fixture installed and connected to
the City water system. Fixture units are assigned by the City
Plumbing Code. The water supply charge is hereby fixed at lea

connected to the City water system after enactment of this
subsection and subsection (d) of this section
Section 2. This Ordinance shall become effective upon its adoption.
