ORDINANCE NO. 60
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 90-59-3 BEING
"AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF THE CITY
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR THE
PURPOSE OF PROMOTING HEALTH, SAFETY, MORALS AND THE
GENERAL WELFARE OF THE CITY, UNDER AND PURSUANT TO
THE 'ATLANTIC BEACH CHARTER : PROVIDING FOR THE
ENFORCEMENT THEREOF, FIXING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF: REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 50 AND ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND FIXING THE DATE
WHEN SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE. "
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA.
Section 1. That the Zoning Map of the City of Atlantic
Beach be changed as follows:
A parcel of land lying on the northwest corner of Mayport Road and
Levy Road, being a part of Lot 3, Section 17 , Township 2 South,
Range 29 East, containing 10.5 acres, more or less, being the same
as described in Deed Book 114, Page 638, Public Records of Duval
County, Florida now zoned Business "B" and Residence "D ". That
portion of said tract now zoned Residence "D " be changed to
Business "B" making the entire tract Business "B".
A parcel of land lying west and adjacent to the above tract designated
as Tract #3, containing 3.61 acres, more or less, now zoned as
Residence "D" to be changed to Business "B".
Section 2. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage on final reading.
Passed by the City Commission on the first reading on February 22,
1960.
Passed by the City Commission on the second and final reading on
March 14th, 1960.
