Q -- G / - /I a G IW(�/ Pip AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 90- C 59-3 BEING "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING HEALTH, SAFETY, MORALS AND THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE CITY, UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE 'ATLANTIC BEACH CHARTER' : PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT THEREOF, FIXING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF: REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 50 AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND FIX- ING THE DATE WHEN SAME SHALL BECOME EFFEC- TIVE . " FFEC- TIVE . BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA. SECTION I. That the Zoning Map of the City of Atlantic Beach be changed as follows : (a) A parcel of land lying on the northwest corner of Mayport Road and Levy Road, being a part of Lot 3, Section 17 , Township 2 South, Range 29 East, containing 10. 5 acres, more or less, being the same as described in Deed Book 114, Page 638, Public Records of Duval County, Florida now zoned as Business "B " be changed to Industrial District. (b) A parcel of land lying west and adjacent to the above tract designated as Tract #3 as recorded in Plat Book 19, Page 16, Public Records of Duval County, Florida con- taining 3.61 acres, more or less, now zoned as Business "B" be changed to Industrial District. SECTION 2. Section XI, Industrial District be amended to read as follows: 1. USES: Within any Industrial District no building or premises shall be erected, used arranged or designed to be used in whole or in part for other than one or more of the following specified purposes which must first be approved by the City Commission. (a) Industrial uses as herein indicated, concrete block plant, concrete plant, bottling works, cigar factories, canning factories, plastic plants , electronic plants and any other industrial or manufacturing enterprises of similar char- acter and extent not injurious to neighboring property. -1- Ordinance No. 90-61-11 - Page #2 2. USES PROHOBITED: The following uses shall not be permitted within an Industrial District: (a) Junk Yards, (b) All residential uses. 3. OFF-STREET PARKING: Off-street parking shall be provided as may be required by the City Commission. SECTION 3. Section XV.4 shall be amended to read as follows: , qa COMMISSION APPROVAL: All plans and specifications for structures in all Business and Industrial districts shall be submitted to the City Commission by the Building Official for approval as to structure, use and structure location on plot. No building permit shall be issued until said approval is ob- tained. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage on final reading.
