Re: 990 Seminole Road Tree Removal
The above referenced applicant submitted a tree removal permit application as required by
Section 23-21. Upon completing the initial inspection, staff observed a double oak tree with a
combined diameter at breast height of fifty (50) inches. This tree is located within 5 to 8 feet of
the existing garage which has visible damage from root growth. Additionally, the driveway
located north of the subject tree has significant uplift from root growth (reference pictures
attached).
As a result of the above observations, the city has determined removal of the 50” oak tree is
exempt from needing a permit for removal as stated in Section 23-22(2). The tree removal
permit application is void and requires no further action.
