AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 90-59-3
BEING "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ZONING
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY,
FLORIDA, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING HEALTH,
SAFETY, MORALS AND THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE
CITY, UNDER AND PURSUANT TO THE "ATLANTIC
BEACH CHARTER" : PROVIDING FOR THE ENFORCEMENT
THEREOF, FIXING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF :
REPEALING ORDINANCE NUMBER 50 AND ALL ORDINANCN;S
IN CONFLICT THEREWITH AND FIXING THE DATE WHEN
SAME SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE" .
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PROPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA.
SECTION I . That paragraph 14 of Section III, Ordinance #90-59-3
be, and is hereby amended by deletion of entire paragraph
and substitution of new paragraph as follows :
• "14. TRAFFIC VISIBILITY ACROSS CORNERS : In any
District, no fence, sign or any planting shall be
maintained except that which does not interfere
with traffic visibility across corners. This
determination shall be made by the City Manager or
his appointed Agent and property owners in violation
thereof shall be advised to make necessary removal" .
SECTION II . This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage on final reading.
