AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PROXIMITY OF CONSTRUCTION / )19;' 1
OF DUPLICATE OR SIMILAR HOMES WITHIN THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 . That the following paragraph be added to Section
28-5 General Provisions :
"To enhance land development , and to forestall de-
gradation of land use within the city, construction
of nearby one-family dwellings , which are duplicates
or intensely similar , shall be avoided. Such simi-
larity considers the external configuration and
appearance (i .e . , roof , outer wall materials , window
size and design , and other like characteristics) of
structures . In accord with the foregoing, similar
or duplicate homes shall not be constructed within
close proximity of each other , and shall be at least
500 feet apart if any one similar dwelling is visible
from any other similar dwelling . "
SECTION' II . This Ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage on final reading .
