Dear Property Owner:
Please be advised, the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances includes rules and regulations governing
construction activities and also maintenance standards for property within the City. These standards are set forth
in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code and were adopted as part of the
City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6,Article II, Section 6-16.
A code enforcement inspection at 1814 SEMINOLE RD was conducted on 3/15/2023. The City of Atlantic
Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of
Ordinances:
1. NATURE OF VIOLATION: Lawn exceeds 12 inches in height.
APPLICABLE CODE: Sec. 12-1 Nuisances(b)It is hereby declared to be a nuisance,the enumerations
of which are merely indications of the nature of the type of acts, occurrences and conditions, and shall not be
deemed to be exclusive: (11) For any person or business to allow vegetation other than cultivated plants,
shrubs or trees to exceed a height of more than twelve(12)inches on any developed lot,or within twenty(20)
feet of any occupied residential property,business property or city right of way.
This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by mowing the lawn & treating and cleaning the
swimming pool within 5 days and repairing the screen in the enclosure within 30 days of the receipt of this
notice.
ACTION TO CORRECT: Mowing the lawn within 5 days of receipt of this notice.
2. NATURE OF VIOLATION: Swimming pool is green and unmaintained.
APPLICABLE CODES:
IPMC Sec. 303.1 Swimming pools. Swimming pools shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary
condition and in good repair.
Sec. 12-1 Nuisances (4) For any person to allow, suffer or permit stagnant water to accumulate
either above or below the ground, or to allow the propagation of mosquitoes therein.
ACTION TO CORRECT: Cleaning and treating the swimming pool within 5 days of receipt of this notice.
3. NATURE OF VIOLATION: The screening in the screen enclosure over the swimming pool is torn and
missing in places.
APPICABLE CODE: IPMC Sec. 302.7 Accessory structures. All accessory structures, including
detached garages, fences and walls, shall be maintained structurally sound and in good repair.
ACTION TO CORRECT: Repair the screen enclosure within 30 days of receipt of this letter.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Failure to correct the violation by the required date may result in
this case being referred to the Code Enforcement Special Magistrate resulting in fines up to two hundred fifty
dollars ($250.00) per day. Upon completion of the action required, it is your responsibility to contact me and

APPLICABLE CODE: IPMC Sec. 302.8 Motor Vehicles "No inoperative or unlicensed motor
vehicle shall be parked or kept or stored on any premises, and no vehicle shall at any time be in a
state of disrepair,major disassembly or in the process or being stripped or dismantled".
ACTION TO CORRECT: This violation can be corrected by either removing the vehicle from the
property or repairing and obtaining a valid license plate for the vehicle within 10 days of receipt of this
notice.
