AGENDA ITEM: Resolution No. 21-21 approving and authorizing Addendum#4 to the
solid waste, yard waste and recycling collection and disposal services
agreement between Advanced Disposal, Inc., and the City of Atlantic
Beach, extending the agreement for up to 90 days beginning June 1, 2021,
at the rates identified in exhibit a;appropriating funds from the City's
solid waste collection enterprise reserve account for this purpose.

SUMMARY: The City is undertaking a request-for-proposal process for solid waste
collection services. The current agreement with Advance Disposal, Inc., expires May 31,2021.
This agreement secures solid waste collection service in the event that a newly executed
agreement with a solid waste collection vendor takes affect after June 1, 2021.
RECOMMENDATION: Commission consider approving Resolution No. 21-21
BUDGET: Funds are appropriated for this purpose.

RESOLUTION NO. 21-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING ADDENDUM #4 TO THE SOLID WASTE, YARD WASTE AND
RECYCLING COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN ADVANCED DISPOSAL SERVICES, INC., AND THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, EXTENDING THE AGREEMENT FOR UP TO 90 DAYS
BEGINNING JUNE 1, 2021, AT THE RATES IDENTIFIED IN EXHIBIT A;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ADDENDUM #4
ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT A,ALONG WITH PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach and Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. desire to extend
the existing solid waste yard waste and recycling collection and disposal services agreement for up to 90
days beginning June 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the terms of proposed Addendum #4 to the solid waste, yard waste and recycling
collection and disposal services agreement are delineated in Exhibit A.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves and authorizes Addendum #4 to the Solid
Waste Collection Agreement between Advanced Disposal Services, Inc., and the City of Atlantic Beach,
extending the agreement for up to 90 days beginning June 1, 2021, with the terms and rates identified in
Exhibit A.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute Addendum #4 attached hereto
as Exhibit A, along with such purchase order(s) in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the
provisions of this Resolution.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.

ADDENDUM #4
TO THE CONTRACT BETWEEN
ADVANCED DISPOSAL SERVICES JACKSONVILLE, LLC.
AND
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH
March 22,2021
Addendum to extend existing contract for ninety (90) days beginning on June 1, 2021 and terminating no
later than August 31,2021. Termination prior to August 31,2021,is allowable upon thirty(30)days written
notice.
Advanced Disposal Services Jacksonville, LLC. will be paid the following rates for the term of the
extension as follows:
Residential Extension Rate Commercial Extension Per Yard Rate
$16.66 Base Rate $3.25 Base Rate
0.84 Fuel Rate* 0.16 Fuel Rate*
2.48 Disposal Rate 1.29 Disposal Rate
$19.99 Total New Rate $4.70 Total New Rate
