Hi Patricia—Please see below.
1.Any complaints received are typically to report a missed collection. It is very infrequent-that-any other type ofcomplaintis
called in.
2. Over the past 5 years we have averaged just under 190 complaints per month. This is for 23,356 households receiving 4
weekly services (garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulk).
3. Complaints about employees are very infrequent.
4. Less than one complaint a month.
5.This answer can vary. In many instances the "missed service" was tagged by WCA/GFL as not being in compliance with the
contract-and they are-not-at-fault Other times; WCA/GFL is-at-fault-and a liquidate-d-damage-is-applied:
6.We assess liquidated damages monthly.
7. By contract liquidated damages can be assessed for a multitude of reasons. The most common are missed collections of
yard waste or garbage, missed collections of bulk, and taking longer than allowed to repair or replace a damaged garbage
cart.
8. We have been pleased with the services provided and are in the process of renewing with WCA/GFL for another 5 years of
service.
9:Score =-4;There-is always room-for improvement-,but l have found-them-to-be-professional, responsive, and-a-good-
partner who strives to provide a quality service.
Please let me know if you need any additional information.

Hi Katie,
WCA has used UF as a reference. Would you (or Dale?) have time to respond to the questions below from City of Atlantic
Beach? I'm not sure that Procurement would be the best to answer the questions since we do not deal with the day-to-day
services with WCA.
Thanks!
Karen

8. Have they proven to be a reliable contractor since they commenced work for you in November 2013? Yes. As with
any contractor, we have had minor issues that we have worked through. However, we are generally very pleased
with the quality of service provided. WCA has provided all compactor and roll-off services, as well as front-load
services to certain off-campus locations, and-various other specialized services to UF since 2013. In June 2020,
following a competitive solicitation process, we again awarded the contract for these services to WCA in part
because of the reliable, quality service we have received from them over the last 7 years.
9. On a scale of 1—5,with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest, how would you rate the services provided by
