AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24 OF THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA; AMENDING
THE ZONING ATLAS OF PROPERTIES ALONG LEVY
ROAD, SOUTH TO WEST FOURTEENTH STREET;
FROM BLOCKS 54 and 55, SECTION H TO MAIN
STREET TO PROVIDE A MORE SUITABLE LAND
USE CONSISTENT WITH THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Advisory Planning Board of the City of Atlantic
Beach has made a study of the zoning along Levy Road, and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Planning Board has held public
hearings on the same, and has made its recommendations to the
City Commission, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds the recommendations of
the Advisory Planning Board relative to comprehensive rezoning of
the Levy Road area is consistent with the Land Development Code
and the Comprehensive Plan adopted by the City, and the zoning
will not adversely effect the health and safety of the residents
of the area, and will not be detrimental to the natural
environment or to the use or development of the adjacent
properties in the general neighborhood,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The real property depicted on the attached map
and made a part hereof is hereby zoned as indicated under the
zoning code of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida , in
compliance with the recommendations of the Advisory Planning
Board to the City Commission.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect on its
adoption.
