AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ORDINANCE CODE OF
THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA;
AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA, TO REZONE LAND OWNED BY
STEPHEN H. MABRY AND JOHN H. TALBERT, AND
DESCRIBED AS SHOWN ON APPENDIX "A" ATTACHED
HERETO FROM RG-1 RESIDENTIAL GENERAL TWO
FAMILY TO RG-2 RESIDENTIAL GENERAL MULTIPLE
FAMILY AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, The Advisory Planning Board of the City of Atlantic
Beach has considered a request to change a zoning classification
submitted by Stephen H. Mabry and John H. Talbert and conducted a
public hearing on same on January 20, 1987, and
WHEREAS, The City Commission does exercise its powers to
amend the Land Development Code, including the Official Zoning
Map, in order to encourage the appropriate use of land, and
WHEREAS, The rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive
Plan, and the rezoning will not adversely effect the health and
safety of the residents of the area, and will not be detrimental
to the natural environment or to the use or development of the
adjacent properties in the general neighborhood,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Atlantic
Beach is hereby changed to reflect the new zoning of property
contained in Appendix "A" from RG-1 Residential General Two
Family to RG-2 Residential General Multiple Family.
Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
