Dear Mr. Thorne,
Please accept this letter as clarification of the above PAC-CLAD product as it pertains to the 7'h Edition
2020) Florida Building Code, specifically FPA#35396.3.
My apologies for any confusion created by our test report drawings which were included as part of the
above referenced Product Approval. These drawings are for the sole use of calculating uplift design
pressures and not for actual installation. The screw shown through the standing seam is standard
practice for the purpose of testing and does not transfer to the actual installation; the engineering and
design community accepts that the test loads are applied to the test deck center not the test deck
perimeter. I've attached copies of our installation drawings to this letter for your quick reference, or you
can find them published on our website.
I trust this sufficiently addresses the situation, but of course feel free to share my contact information
with anyone that might need to discuss it in greater detail.

Mr. Thorne,
I have reviewed the evaluation report and the installation instructions for the above-
described Edge-Loc roof panel. I concur with Sal Delfino's letter dated March 27"', 2023
that the stitch screw through the seams 3" away from the panel edge at the low end and
high end of the tested assembly doesn't need to be installed in the field.
It is my professional opinion, that these seam screws as well as the other fasteners around
the perimeter of the tested assembly were installed as part of the test assembly to force the
failure mode to be in the center of the tested assembly, so that all failure modes could be
adequately evaluated in a single test. Failure modes evaluated include not only the seam
strength, but also panel bending, panel shear, combined bending and shear, fastener
strength, etc.
