A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA
APPROVING A NEW SCHEDULE OF GARBAGE RATES IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S AGREEMENT WITH GFL
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach's agreement with GFL Environmental for
solid te, yard waste and recycling collection and disposal services allows for fuel
rate adju ents based on the On Highway Retail Diesel Price published by the U.S.
Department Energy and collection rate adjustments based on the U.S. Department of
Labor Consume rice Index (CPI); and
WHEREAS, Environmental rates have increased their rates according to the
provision of the agreemen , d
WHEREAS, the City of antic Beach fees for garbage service must be sufficient
enough to allow for the continued o ation of its Sanitation Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantich has not increased its garbage rates since
June of 2019.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLOVEDthe City Commission of the City of
Atlantic Beach, Florida, that
