A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING
BID NO 2223-05 FOR WATER TREATMENT PLANT #2 EXTERIOR PAINTING
GROUND STORAGE TANK; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on April 12, 2023, nine bids were received and opened for City Bid No. 2223-05 for
Water Treatment Plant #2 Exterior Painting Ground Storage Tank; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder, Southern Road & Bridge, LLC, provided all of the required
documents in its bid submittal; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for
pressure washing and painting one 500,000 gallon concrete ground storage tank at Water Treatment Plant
No. 2, located at 2301 Mayport Road.; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for this project in account No. 400-5502-533-6300, Project No.
PU2204; and
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as
follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes awarding Bid No. 2223-05 to Southern Road &
Bridge, LLC, in the amount of $55,000.00 to perform the work for said bid in accordance with the bid
specifications.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities Fund for
this purpose.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts and
purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution.
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
