THIS REVIEW IS ONE OF MULTIPLE DEPARTMENT REVIEWS.
Revisions may not be submitted until ALL departments have completed their respective reviews.
Revisions submitted MUST respond to EACH department review. Submittals that respond to only one or a
few correction items will not be accepted.
Correction Comments:
1. The Manual J information, that would correspond to the Manual S information, was not submitted at this
submittal. Please include the Manual Js that correspond to the Manual S report submitted.
2. Please submit a truss layout plan from the engineered truss designer/manufacturer.
3. There is a descrepancy in the living space square footing of the Energy Calculation documents and the
Design drawings of 1614.5 square feet. Please review and clarify and resubmit the neccesary documents
revised with the changed numbers clouded as usually for a revision. Unclouded revison documents will
not be acceptable.
4. Area Schedule title box figures from page A1 do not make sense. Please review and revise or write a
narrative of exclamation of the figure totals.
5. There are some component and cladding items and their installation procedures that go through plan
review. For those items it is requested that the manufacturer’s installation instructions and Evaluation
Reports be submitted. That information can be found on the DBPR’s product approval website and is
preffered that the information come from there. Sometimes the installation instructions is the same as
the Evaluation Report, in that case only one submittal is needed. Another note is that these items all
have in-progress-inspections that are needed during there installations and our inspectors will work with
that operation closely when those inspections are requested. Those items are : Siding, soffits,
windows/doors and non-shingled roofing systems.
6. Concerning windows and doors installed: The sliding glass doors/windows that can be seen from the
beach are required to meet Turtle Glass standards. Ordinance 95-17-114 of Atlantic Beach, FL, amending
Chapter 5, Parks and Parks, to add Article IV, Sea Turtle Protection. Glazing visible from the beach shall
be tinted/treated to achieve an industry-approved, inside-to-outside light transmittance value of 45% or
less. Such transmittance is limited to the visible spectrum (400 to 700 nanometers) and is measured as
the percentage of light that is tranmitted through the glass.
7. Please show that the new sliding glass door and windows, that are applicable, will meet the above
standard for light transmittance or provide a means of tinting that will produce the standard. All
documentation shall be reviewed by the A.B. Building Department.
8. If glazing is to be tinted/treated, the application shall be installed to receive an approved final inspection
for this permit application.
9. Resubmittals may generate other review comments.

Resubmittal Notes: All revisions and changes shall clearly stand out from the rest of the drawing on the sheet as a
revision by way of completely encircling the change with “clouding”. The revision shall also be identified as to the
sequence of revision by indicating a triangle with the revision sequence number within it and located adjacent to the
cloud. The revision date and revision sequence number shall also be indicated in a conspicuous location in the title block
for each sheet on which a revision for that sequence occurs. For projects still in the initial review stage and permit
pending, all sheets with revisions shall be inserted into each set of drawings. The original sheets must be clearly marked
“VOID” but are to be left within the set of drawings. Complete new sets of drawings will not be accepted. ADDITIONAL
ITEMS MAY BE REQUIRED DEPENDING UPON NEW INFORMATION AND CLARITY OF FINAL PLANS SUBMITTED FOR
REVIEW.
