• AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
OWNED BY THE CITY FOR CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY OWNED BY
HABITAT FOR HUMANITY OF THE JACKSONVILLE BEACHES, INC.,
A NOT FOR PROFIT FLORIDA CORPORATION, D/B/A BEACHES
HABITAT, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City owns certain real property described as follows:
Lots 3 and 4, Block 2, Ed Smith's Subdivision, according to plat
thereof as recorded in Plat Book 26, page 50, and Lots 3, 4, 5,
South 25' feet of Lot 6, Lots 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, Block 1, Ed
Smith's Subdivision, according to plat thereof as recorded in Plat
Book 26, page 50, both of the current public records of Duval
County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the Beaches Habitat owns certain real property described as follows:
Lots 4, 5 and 6, Donner's Subdivision, according to plat thereof as
• recorded in Plat Book 8, page 4, of the current public records of
Duval County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that it is in the City's best interest to
exchange its property for that owned by Beaches Habitat.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON BEHALF OF THE PEOPLE
OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. The above described property owned by the City shall be conveyed to
Beaches Habitat in exchange for Beaches Habitat conveying its above described property to the
City. The mayor and city manager are authorized to sign all documents necessary to effectuate the
exchange of properties authorized herein.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its final passage and
adoption.
