AN ORDINANCE Providing for the Payment by Property
Owners of Attorney' s Fees for Collecting Without Suit Unpaid Taxes or
Assessments:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR IND TOWN COUNC11, OF THE
TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Whenever and as often as any unpaid tax
or assessment, of the Town of Atlantic reach is certified to the
Town Attorney for collee cion, as provided for by Section :52., of Chapter
13907 Laws of Florida , Acts of 1929 , there shall be added to the
amount of such tax or assessment , and also certified to the Town Attorney
along therewith, a sum which shall equal 10/0 of the amount of such tax
or assessment. Such sum shall be in addition to such tax or assessment;
it shall be a lien upon the particular property in respect of which
it is levied or assessed, the same as the tax or assessment ; and it shall
be paid by the person by whom such tax or assessment is required to be
paid.
Section 2. As and for his sole compensation for his
services in collecting without suit such taxes and assessments as are so
certified to him for collection, the Town Attorney shall receive said
10.i0 of the amount of said taxes and assessments.
