AN ORDINANCE Amending Ordinance No. Entitled: "AN ORDINANCE
Regulating the Driving of Motor Vehicles Within the Corporate Limits of the
Town of Atlantic Beach, Florida; and Prescribing Certain Penalties for the
Viola kion Thereof" :
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE 10,IN
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FIDRIDA:
Section 1: The title of Ordinance No . 23 , entitled "AN ORDINANCE
Regulating the Driving of Motor Vehicles 'Within the Corporate Limits of the
Town of' Atlantic Beach, Florida; and Prescribing Certain Penalties for the
Violation Thereof" , be , and the same is hereby, amended by inserting, after
the word. "Driving" contained in such title , the words "Use and Parking".
Section 2: Section 8 , of said. Ordinance be , and the same is hereby
amended by adding thereafter the following paragraph, designated as Section
8-A , to-wit:
Section 8-A: The Mayor, Chairman of the Police Committee , and
Marshal be , and the same are hereby empowered to establish, maintain and
appropriately identify and designate by means of street or sidewalk lines,
markers , signs , etc. , and at their discretion, suitable safeLy zones in
and throughout the corporate limits of the said. Town , in which zones
the parking or leaving of motor vehicles may be absolutely prohibited during
those hours or periods of time published and made known in or at such
zones by means of the aforesaid markers and signs:

passed by the Town Council on second reading Sept. 7th, , 1937 ; passed by the
