The application to apply for a FREE tree in your front yard is
published at www.coab.us/adoptatree. City staff will review your
reaquested tree location to determine if there are any site
restructions such as overhead or underground utilities, drainage
areas/swales, easements, etc.
The newly updated Chapter 23 (commonly known as the tree
code) of the Code of Ordinances expands the use of tree-
conservation funds to plant trees in front yards on private
property. These "Adopt-a-Tree" funds come from property
owners who pay into the tree-conservation fund, which is
earmarked to expand the public tree canopy. Apply for your tree
