ORDINANCE NO. 55
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROVE AND ADOPT THE TAX ASSESSMENT POLL FOR THE
YEAR 1940, AND TO DETERMINE AND FLY THE RATE OF TAXATION .AND MAKE
THE ANNUAL TAX LEVY OF THE YEAP 1940.
BE IT OFDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TONN COUNCIL OF THE TONN OF
ATLANTIC `EACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That the Tax Assessment Roll of the Town of
Atlantic Beach, heretofore submitted to the Town Council by the
Town Tax Assessor, es thereafter and heretofore considered and act-
ed upon by said Town 'Council , be and it hereby is, approved and ,
adopted as the Tax lssessment Poll of said Town for the year 1940.
SECTION 2. That upon all the taxable nronerty in and of the
Town of Atlantic Beach, assessed upon the said Tax Assessment Poll
of said Town for the year 1940, there is. hereby levied for all
Town purposes for said year (except for payments due or or to be-
come due upon Seawall Bonds) a tax of 10 (ten) mills.
SECTION 3. That upon all the taxable nronerty in and of said
Town of " tlantic Beach, assessed upon the said tax assessment roll
of said Town for the year 1940, as thus adopted and annroved by the
Town Council , there is hereby levied, for payments due or to become
due upon Seawall Bonds in said year, a tax of 1-(Oet),) ill .
SECTION 4. That the rate of taxation upon all said property
so assessed upon said Tax Assessment 'oll , for and on account of
the several purposes aforesaid , is hereby determined and fixed at
the total rate of 11 (Eleven) ills upon each dollar of the
valuation assessed on said Roll for and in respect of each parcel
of property thereon assessed severally and respectively.
Passed by the Town Council on first and second readings
October 1 1940; passed by the Town Council on Third and
final reading IJCQ_ 1940 end presented to the
Mayor 1940.
