AN ORDINANCE Providing for a Town Health Officer of and
for the Town of Atlantic Beach, Duval County, Florida.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY, FLORIDA:
Section 1: The corporate authority of the Town of Atlan-
tic Beach, Duval County, Florida, chall be vested insadditionally
to those officers specifically enumerated in Section 3 of Chapter
13907, Laws of Florida, Special Acts of 1939 , a Town Health Officer;
provision for whom is hereby expressly made , pursuant to said Chap-
ter 13907 , the charter of the said Town.
Section 2: The Town Health Officer shall be the executive
officer of the Town Council of the said Town in all matters pertain-
ing to health; he shall be appointed by such Council, and shall serve
at its pleasure - provided, however, that no one term of his office
shall exceed a period of two years from the date of his appointment,
although the same individual may from time to time be subject to re-
appointment as Town Health Officer.
Section 3: The Town Health Officer herein and hereby pro-
vided for shall promptly enforce whatever rules and regulations pertain-
ing to the health of the said Town of Atlantic Beach and of its in-
habitants may be promulgated by the said Town Council; and. in perform-
ance of his official duties shall be privileged to enter any premises
in the said Town at any time; and nothing herein contained shall be
construed to prevent the said Town Health Officer from counseling and
said
advising the said Town Council relative to any of th erules and regula-
tions, or any measuresof health and sanitation felt by such Health
Officer to be desirable and needed.

1941; passed by the Town Council on second reading on iiarch 4th
1941; passed by the Town Council on third and final reading on April
1941, and certified to the Mayor on A ri1 8th 1941.
