076 vORDINANCE NO. 7`,
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING FISHING EY NETS AND SEINES
UPON THE BEACH IN THE TOWN OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY,
FLORIDA, AND FIXING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION HEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND TOVN COUNCIL OF THE
TOE OF ATLANTIC BEACH, DUVAL COUNTY, FLORIDA, TUX
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person,
firru, corporation or association to use any seine , not or other
type of fishing tackle upon the Beach of said Town within five
hundred feet (500 feet) of any fishing pier; provided, that
nothing herein contained shall be construed to prohibit the use
of rod and reel , throw or cast line , and/or crab nets and crab
baskets.
Section 2. That it shall be unlawful for any person,
firm, corporation or association to leave fish, crab or other
type of refuse upon the Beach in said Town .
Section 3. That any person adjudged guilty of a
violation of this Ord1 rian::e shall be fined nut exceeding Fifty
Dollars ( .' 50. ) or imprisoned for nut more than thirty days
in jail.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its approval by the Mayor.
