Steve Swann,City Engineer August 21,2023 September 11,2023 The City of Atlantic Beach annually submits grant applications for Resilient Florida funding from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP)for eligible projects.Resilient Florida grants require a 50%match commitment. FDEP requires Commission authorization to submit an application and also requires signing authority for execution of grant contracts. The City has historically relied on the City Manager to execute these grant agreements. For the ?scal year 2023-24 funding cycle,the City intends to submit a grant application to provide ?ood protection to multiple lift stations vulnerable to ?ooding.If the City is awarded a Resilient Florida grant resulting from a submitted application,this resolution will authorize the City Manager to execute the grant agreement.
