These standards are set forth in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code and were adopted as part of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-16. A code enforcement inspection at 328 10TH ST was conducted on 9/8/2023. The City of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances: NATURE OF VIOLATION: A pool permit was issued for your property on 6/17/2019. According to our records,the final inspection was failed and no follow up inspection was ever requested. The permit has since expired. In accordance with the Florida Building Code, final inspections for swimming pools are required. APPLICABLE CODE: 110.3 Required inspections. - The building official upon notification from the permit holder or his or her agent shall make the following inspections, and shall either release that portion of the construction or shall notify the permit holder or his or her agent of any violations which must be corrected in order to comply with the technical codes. The building official shall determine the timing and sequencing of when inspections occur and what elements are inspected at each inspection. 7. Swimming pool inspection. First inspection to be made after excavation and installation of reinforcing steel, bonding and main drain and prior to placing of concrete. Final inspection to be made when the swimming pool is complete and all required enclosure requirements are in place. In order to pass final inspection and receive a certificate of completion, a residential swimming pool must meet the requirements relating to pool safety features as described in Section 454.2.17 of this code. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by renewing the permit and requesting a final pool inspection within ten (10)days of the receipt of this notice.
