These standards are set forth in the International Property Maintenance Code and the Florida Building Code and were adopted as part of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances in Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-16. A code enforcement inspection at 665 SAILFISH DR was conducted on 9/14/2023. The City of Atlantic Beach Code Enforcement has found your property to be in violation of the City of Atlantic Beach Code of Ordinances: NATURE OF VIOLATION: A covered structure has been constructed with no permit abutting your rear and side fences at the northeast corner of your lot. In accordance with code, structures such as sheds or similar structures require a permit and must be set back at least 5 feet from the rear and side property lines. APPLICABLE CODES: Sec. 24-151. -Accessory uses and structures. -(b) Accessory uses and structures by zoning district. (1) Within all residential zoning districts. g. Gazebos, pergolas, covered decks and similar structures, not to exceed one hundred fifty(150) square feet and twelve (12) feet in height and a minimum distance of five(5) feet from the rear and side lot lines. 1. Storage and tool sheds, not to exceed one hundred fifty (150) square feet and twelve (12)feet in height. Only one (1) detached storage or tool shed shall be allowed on any single residential lot, and such structures shall be a minimum distance of five (5) feet from the rear and side lot lines. FBC Section 105 Permit 105.1 Required. Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any required impact resistant coverings, electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the Building Official and obtain the required permit. This letter requests that the noted violation(s) be corrected by removing the non permitted structure within ten (10) days of the receipt of this notice.
