I worked for the City of Jacksonville as an Environmental
Scientist for almost 30 years. During the course of my
employment I worked in several areas. I began as an
emergency responder to hazmat incidents which included
extensive training with the fire department and area ER
physicians. Next I headed up a salt water intrusion study on Ft
George Island. Then I moved into several supervisory roles,
first heading up the sediment and erosion control inspection
program and then the lift station inspection program. I was

main roles was preparing cases for our legal staff during
enforcement cases.
I moved to Atlantic Beach and vicinity about 50 years ago and
consider it my home even though I was born and raised in New
York. I have seen many changes in AB during that time- some
for the better and some I didn't agree with. I realize that the
only constant in life is change so I would like to be able to add
my voice to how AB changes in the future. I want my
grandchildren to be able to enjoy the amazing environment and
wonderful people in AB that I have have had the privilege of
being part of for many years.
