A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SECURITY UPGRADES TO THE
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT ENTRY DOORS AND CARD
READERS ON THE WWTP AND PUBLIC WORKS SECURITY GATES;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS
AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS
NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS
RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City is in need of an upgraded security entrance system at the Wastewater
Treatment Plant and the Public Works Yard; and
WHEREAS, no quotes were solicited because Convergint Technologies is the Sole Source
Provider; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose in
account number 410-5508-535-4600.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve the
purchase of the security entrance upgrades to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Buildings and gate,
and the Public Works gate.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds in the amount of $28,154.00
from City's Public Utilities Fund for this purpose.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution;
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Atlantic Beach, this 13th day of November,
