RESOLUTION NO. 01-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, HONORING COMMISSIONER THEO K.
MITCHELSON FOR HIS PUBLIC SERVICE AS A CITY
COMMISSIONER, SEAT 4
WHEREAS, Theo Mitchelson served the on the Code Enforcement Board from October
1993 until October 1997 when he was elected to serve as a City Commissioner in the City of Atlantic
Beach; and
WHEREAS, Theo Mitchelson represented the citizens and voters of Atlantic Beach in a
forthright, honest and objective manner; and
WHEREAS,Theo Mitchelson took a keen interest in beach renourishment,the environment,
and in preserving the quality of life in Atlantic Beach; and
IllWHEREAS,Theo Mitchelson served on the Mayport Waterfronts Partnership and was the
City Commission liaison to the Teen Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission recognizes what a valuable and important contribution
Theo Mitchelson made during his tenure as a member of the City Commission and as a citizen of
Atlantic Beach.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED the City Commission of Atlantic Beach,Florida,
hereby expresses its deep appreciation for the contributions of Theo Mitchelson and extends heartfelt
gratitude on behalf of the citizens of Atlantic Beach.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the official
minutes of the City of Atlantic Beach and a certified copy hereof be furnished to Theo Mitchelson.
ADOPTED by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida, this 22nd day of October,
2001.
