A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW WELL 3W AT THE
WATER TREATMENT PLANT #3 AT 902 ASSISI LANE; AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE
ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO
EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Well 3W at Water Treatment Plant #3 at 902 Assisi Lane casing failed and
was allowing sand intrusion; and
WHEREAS, the City solicited proposals for the replacement of the well from Complete
Services Well Drilling, INC. and Partridge Well Drilling Company; and
WHEREAS, Partridge Well Drilling Company provided a proposal to replace the well for
$302,930.00; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the Public Utilities Fund for this purpose in account
number 400-5502-533-6300, for Project PU2318.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
Section 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve the
purchase and installation of the new well.
Section 2. The City Commission hereby appropriates funds from City's Public Utilities
Fund for this purpose.
Section 3. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute contracts
and purchase orders in accordance with and as necessary to effectuate the provisions of this
Resolution;
Section 4. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
