Resolution No. 24-13RESOLUTION NO. 24-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE REPLACEMENT OF HVAC UNITS IN CITY HALL AND THE COMMISSION CHAMBER; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the HVAC units in City Hall and the Commission Chamber were installed in 2012 and are in need of replacement; and WHEREAS, four quotes were obtained from various HVAC contractors; and WHEREAS, the lowest quote that included the replacement of the HVAC units in both the Commission Chamber and City Hall was from Buehler Air Conditioning for $42,568.00; and WHEREAS, there is $40,000.00 budgeted in the Public Works Building Maintenance Account 001-1012-519-3400 and $15,000.00 budgeted in the Public Works Administrative Account 001-5001-541-6400 from the approved FY2023-2024 budget for HVAC replacement. NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach as follows: SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby approves the replacement of the HVAC units in City Hall and the Commission Chamber; and SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to approve a purchase order to Buehler Air Conditioning in the amount of $42,568.00 for HVAC replacement in City Hall and the Commission Chamber. SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City of Atlantic Beach, this 25th day of March, 2024.
