A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC
BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING AN ORGANIZATIONAL MISSION
STATEMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a Mission Statement is a formal declaration that outlines an organization's core
function; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to establish a new Mission Statement – a
streamlined maxim that City employees can justly and readily recite, and that can be applied as a measure
of employee achievement; and
WHEREAS, "The place to be – through exceptional public services" serves this distinct purpose.
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach,
Florida:
SECTION 1. That the City Commission herby adopts the organizational Mission Statement, "The
place to be – through exceptional public services".
SECTION 2. That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with this Resolution are
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. That this Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, this 251i day
of March, 2024.
