Anchoring to be installed at a minimum per surface markings, spaced 6" on-center in vertical and horizontal laps, and 12" on-center along the center of the roll. If the application of UDL Pro and the ﬁnal rooﬁng material occur on the same day, then the option to use every other printed anchoring placement is acceptable. For same day coverage, corrosion resistant ⁄" head and 1" leg rooﬁng nails are acceptable as well as 1" plastic cap staples. High slope roofs, (> 7/12 pitch) must use plastic cap nails. All anchoring devices must be ﬂush, 90° to the roof deck, and tight with the underlayment surface and the structural roof deck. As with any rooﬁng product, always follow safe rooﬁng codes and practices (OSHA), and always use fall-protection devices when working on roofs (i.e. toe boards, rope harnesses, and rubber or synthetic soft-sole footwear). Use caution when walking or standing on Barricade UDL Pro as wet and/or dusty conditions may reduce traction. Failure to use proper safety gear and footwear can result in serious injury. Fasteners CAUTION - READ GOOD SAFETY PRACTICES BELOW The deck surface must be dry and free of dust, dirt, loose nails, debris, and other protrusions. Damaged sheathing must be replaced. Ensure that the space beneath the roof sheathing is properly ventilated before installing to avoid condensation problems. Preparation Installation UDL Pro is laid out horizontally (parallel) to the eave, with the printed side up, using 4" horizontal laps and 6" vertical laps. Follow codes for low slopes as deﬁned as 2:12 to 4:12 and steep slopes greater than 4:12 applications. UDL Pro is designed to withstand 180 days of exposure prior to being covered with the ﬁnal rooﬁng material. Barricade® recommends covering UDL Pro with the ﬁnal rooﬁng material as soon as possible.
