1085 ATLANTIC Stair - Deck Repair RFP w Building Plans Page 6 of 23 Scope of Work General Notes: 1) Work Hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday Through Friday (weekends by special exception) 2) All work (on site activities) must be tightly coordinated with the Management / Maintenance staff. Contractor shall notify the Management / Maintenance staff at least 48 hours prior to any on site activity including but not limited to deliveries, Dumpster placement, Number of people that will be working on site etc. 3) Units will be delivered to the contractor by the Management / Maintenance staff free of all furniture, loose debris, cabinets and closets will be completely empty. 4) Contractor to provide dumpster for all demolition and construction debris and items to be removed. The dumpster location will be determined by the Management / Maintenance staff on site. The location may not necessarily be adjacent to where the work is taking place. The dumpster must be placed on dunnage or other means to fully protect the asphalt, grass, concrete etc. surfaces from damage during placement and removal and to keep the bearing points from sinking into the existing surface. 5) All work areas must be reasonably protected from damage and from dust and debris. Proper protection must be in place to control dust and debris from concrete cutting and drilling operations. 6) Hours of operation may vary depending on the type and location of work to be performed. Daily start and finish times must be tightly coordinated with the Management / Maintenance staff. 7) Unless there is immediate danger to persons and property. Any unforeseen conditions necessitating additional expense to the owner must be discussed and approved in writing before proceeding with the work. 8) Contractor to secure all required permits. Page 7 of 23 Scope of Work Repair Scope Shoring (See page 12) 9) Secure the services of a qualified shoring contractor to determine properly sized shoring jacks and temp beams. Provide proper dunnage for the base of the shoring jacks. 10) Properly size shoring beams to handle the weight of the landing and the span to allow the excavation for and the installation of the new 5’6” L X 5’6” W x 2’ Thick column footings. 11) Use shoring jacks to jack up the existing landings to a reasonable level surface while being careful NOT to cause additional concrete cracking and settlement. Repair Scope Excavation and Concrete (See detail 6 S2.00 Struct Drawing) REVISED 11-08-2023 SCOPE CONCRETE FOOTINGS is for the following locations: Building 4- S-4, Building 5 S-4 and S-6, Building 7 S-2, Building 8 S-1, S-2, S-3. (7 Locations total) 12) Excavate to proper depth to maintain Top of concrete footings at grade (Flush with Grade). Excavate to a depth to allow specified thickness of footing plus 6” of compacted crushed stone. (Approx. 30” of total excavation depth) 13) Form new footings to specified dimensions Length, width and depth. Center line of footing to line up with center line of existing stair landing slab. 14) Install steel reinforcement as specified in detail 6 S2.00 Struct Drawing. 15) Install anchor bolts in accordance with steel column shop drawings or use specified Hilti HIT- HY200 epoxy for full 8” embedment of ¾” threaded rod. specified in detail 6 S2.00 Struct Drawing 16) Obtain all necessary inspections and approvals prior to concrete placement. 17) Establish a clean out area for the concrete delivery trucks. 18) Protect ALL adjacent surfaces such as bout not limited to asphalt, concrete etc. 19) Place and properly finish top of concrete footings. 20) Promptly clean up all concrete spills and overburden. 21) Allow proper set time prior to stripping form. 22) Remove concrete forms and retain for future footing placement. 23) Backfill and compact new concrete footings.
