A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO CONTRACT WITH C & L LANDSCAPE
AND BUILDING, INC. TO PERFORM RENOVATIONS TO THE 18TH
STREET BEACH WALKOVER; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACTS AND PURCHASE ORDERS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH AND AS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE
PROVISIONS OF THIS RESOLUTION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach has identified the renovations to the 18th Street
Beach Walkover as a priority; and
WHEREAS, C & L Landscape and Building, Inc. has a current contract with the City of
Jacksonville, Contract #SC -0397-22; and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach can piggyback on this contract to complete the
18a' Street Beach Walkover Renovations project; and
WHEREAS, C & L Landscape and Building, Inc. submitted a proposal in the amount of
$83,349.81; and
WHEREAS, the project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, and supplies for the
18'h Street Beach Walkover renovations, including repairing the timber boardwalk and widening
the entrance stairs; and
WHEREAS, the cost for the project will be fully funded from the $222,180.00 currently
budgeted in the Parks and Recreation Infrastructure Capital Projects Fund Account 300-6020-572-
6300 (Project Number PW2321).
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach
as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City of Atlantic Beach to
contract with C & L Landscape and Building, Inc. in the amount of $83,349.81 to perform the
work for said contract in accordance with the contract specifications;
SECTION 2. The City Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the
Contract with C & L Landscape and Building, Inc. and approve a Purchase Order to said vendor
in the amount of $83,349.81;
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage and adoption.
