A Resolution establishing names for two of the city's parks, 1.)
a parcel of land bordering Francis Avenue on the west,immediately
east of the public works yard, and lying north of the new sewer
plant, and 2.) a small triangular park at the intersection of
Rose and Orchid Street in Section H.
WHEREAS, the Commission desires to name two of its parks
in honor of two of our most distinguished citizens,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
ATLANTIC BEACH, that the park on Francis Avenue, more particu-
larly described as Part of Lot 2, recorded in Official Records
Volume 1516, page 144; Volume 1675, page 482, and Volume 225,
page 406, Section 17, Township 2 South, Range 29 East, current
public records, Duval County, Florida be named THE REVEREND
WILLIAM HOLSEY JORDAN PARK, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the park at Rose and Orchid,
more particularly described as Atlantic Beach Section H land-
marked park in Block 235, Plat Book 18, page 34 current public
records, Duval County, Florida be named THE ADELE GRACE PARK.
Adopted by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach, Florida
this 10th day of August, 1987.
