WHEREAS, the Inspectors and Clerks of the Primary Election held in
Atlantic Beach, Florida on October 6, 1987 for the purpose of electing a
Mayor-Commissioner for Seat #1, and two Commissioners for Seats #2 and #3
canvassed the votes cast and did make the returns on the same in words as
follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF ATLANTIC BEACH,
FLORIDA, that it is hereby unanimously voted that said returns be accepted as reported,
and
That it is hereby found and determined by the City Commission of Atlantic Beach,
Florida, acting in the capacity of a Canvassing Board that the qualified voters who
participated in said Primary Election cast their votes in favor of the following
candidates as follows:
SEAT NO. 1, MAYOR-COMMISSIONER, William S. Howell ELECTED
SEAT NO. 2, COMMISSIONER, Robert B. Cook, Sr. ELECTED
SEAT NO. 3, COMMISSIONER, ALAN C. JENSEN ELECTED
It is further found and determined that the above named candidate for Seat#1 is duly
elected to serve for two years, and it is further found that the above named candidates
for Seats #2 and #3 are each duly elected to serve for four years and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all candidates be and are hereby commended for the
manner in which their campaigns were conducted in said election.
