NO. 87-37
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America is an organization dedicated to
the development of leadership, honor and integrity in the nation's
young, and
WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of America has distinguished itself as an
organization interested in fostering American ideals, and
WHEREAS, each young person should be encouraged to join the Boy
Scouts of America, and
WHEREAS, a number of young people have joined the Boy Scout Troop
in Atlantic Beach, known as Troop 37, and
WHEREAS, said Troop 37 will celebrate their Fiftieth Anniversary
411 with an open house on Sunday, October 18, 1987, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM at
the scout hut on Sherry Drive, and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach wishes to recognize the Boy
Scouts of America and Troop 37,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. On the Fiftieth Anniversary of Troop 37, Boy Scouts
of America, the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
takes this opportunity of saluting the organization for the development
of leadership, integrity, and honesty among its younger citizens, and
urges one and all to help celebrate this Fiftieth Anniversary during the
open house on Sunday, October 18, 1987, from 12:30 to 3:00 PM at the
Scout Hut behind Community Presbyterian Church off Sherry Drive.
