NO. 83-19
WHEREAS, Robert B. Persons, Jr.has served the City of Atlantic Beach as Mayor
for the past two years, and
WHEREAS, during his term of office, he performed his tasks effectively with
diligence and attention and led the City of Atlantic Beach through difficulty and
adversity and helped to improve the quality and efficiency of its government, and
WHEREAS, Robert B. Persons, Jr. gave most generously of his time and energy
to preserve and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of the City of Atlan-
tic Beach, and
WHEREAS, Robert B. Persons, Jr. , in addition to the above, has willingly
served on numerous boards and committees in connection with the municipal govern-
ment of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, including service on the Board of
Directors of the Florida League of Cities, all of which services proved of great
benefit to the citizens of this community.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Atlantic Beach, its Commis-
sion, employees and citizens are appreciative of Bob's dedication and efforts dur-
ing his term as Mayor, extend to him a sincere "THANKS", and wish him the very
best in future endeavors.
Adopted unanimously by the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, this 1st day of
November, 1983.
