A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF A FULL
APPLICATION(S) TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA, DE-
PARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR SMALL CITIES
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS AND
JOBS IMPACT PROGRAM FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to submit a full
application(s) to the State of Florida, Department of Community Affairs
(DCA) for Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Jobs
Impact Program funds for community restoration in the target area
designated by the City of Atlantic Beach, and
WHEREAS, the City of Atlantic Beach desires to use the funds
received from this grant for Housing Rehabilitation and Neighborhood
Revitalization together with engineering and administration costs
related thereto, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF ATLANTIC BEACH, as follows:
Section 1. That the City file a full application(s) with the
Department of Community Affairs (DCA) for Small Cities Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and for Jobs Impact program funds,
in an amount totaling $2,050,000.
$650,000 for Housing Rehabilitation.
$650,000 for Neighborhood Revitalization.
$750,000 for Jobs Impact Program. (Provide employment
opportunities to locally unemployed.)
Section 2. That the Mayor of Atlantic Beach be authorized to
execute all documents in connection with the filing of said full
application(s) and that the same be filed with the Department of
Community Affairs (CDA) .
