PERSONNEL. RULES AND REGULA'T'IONS FOR
THE CITY OF ATLAI3TZC BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Federal Government has enacted the Fair Labor
Standards Act which applies to State and Local Government employees, and
WHEREAS, Said act includes minimum wage, overtime, wage payments,
equal pay, age discrimination, child labor, executive, administrative
and professional employees, fire protection and law enforcement personnel,
and
WHEREAS, Section 26 of the Charter of the City of Atlantic Beach
provides that the City Manager shall be the Chief Executive Officer and
head of the Administacative Branch of the City Government.
NOW,. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITX MANAGER SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE
TO THE CITY COMMISSION FOR THE PROPER ADMINZS'FRATION OF T'HE FAIR LABOR
STANDARDS ACT, ANII IS ALSO DIRECTED TO UPDATE THE PRESENT PERSONNEL
PROGRAM TO COMPLY WITH FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
Adopted by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
on December 23, 1974.
