frorn 1940 tllrouc~li 1944; served as T~layor/Corrtussioner of the City of
Atlantic Beach, Florida, from 1961 ttzrough 196;, and was appointed Chairman
of the Board of Adjustment of the City of Z~tlaritic I3cac}i, Florida on
Septc~riber 1968, dic~.l on i~ionday January 10th 1972.
i~1r. lsaacs was born on Dec~nber 22nd 1897 in St. Louis, ~ :issouri and
carne to live in the Jacksonville Beaches area 35 years ago from New Orleans,
Louisiana.
During his tirr~ as a resident of 1tlantic Beach, Florida, i~1r. Isaacs
always gave mc~;t yenerously,af his time and energy for the benefit of the
citizens of the City of Atlantic i3each, Florida, and the flayor/Cozmti.ssioner,
CorraiLissioners and Officers of the City of Atlantic Yeacli, I'lorida, acknowledge
that they have lost one of their nxast valued and respected citizens.
In spite of the time given for the benefit of tYie citizens of Atlantic
i3eacti, Florida, Z~Ir. Isaacs also found time to give his time and services for
the benefit of the scrvicc~n of the United States of America. iie served as
President and llirector of the Jacksonville Beaches U.S.O; was a Past
President of ttie Jacksonville Peaches and Nlayport Council of the Navy League,
and was also a Charter i ~ ~ of the Jacksonville Beaches American Legion
Post No. 129; ttie r,~mbers of these organizations ackmowledge that they have
lost one of their finest and most active members.
!, r'lr. Isaacs was a mc~rber of St. Paul's Ly The Sea L'piscopal Church and
was a former Trustee of the Diocese of Southern Virginia,
i,7.r. Isaacs is survived by his widcN~ Grace Isaacs, a son Iienry G. Isaacs,
Jr., a daughter Mrs. Patricia rlorgan, two yxandsons,'one granddaughter and a
sister P~liss L~nily Isaacs, 'all of Atlantic Beach, Florida,
