72-39'~ ~'tESOLUTION NO. 72-39 A RESOLUTIOI+T 'TO PROVIDE FOURTH AND FIFTH URBAN SERVICES DISTRICTS TO PROVIDE FOR CENTRALIZED AND UNIFIED CONSTRUCTION TRADES REGULATIONS, ~RnVIDING FOR~RECOGNITION OF EXISTING CERTIFICATESiISSUED`BY~ANY GOVERN- MENTAL AGENCY IN"DUVAL COUNTY, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach in all of Duval County that construction trades regula- tions be centralized and uniform throughout the County. Inas- much as there presently exist regulations in the construction trades field in the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth Urban Service Districts, as well as regulations embraced in Ordinances of the City of Atlantic Beach, the City of Atlantic Beach recommends and requests~that the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth Urban Service Districts take appropriate steps to eliminate the dupli- cating and overlapping regulations in furtherance of the goals described herein. It is further intent of the City to provide for recognition of existing certificates of compe~:ency issued by the First, Second, Fourth and Fifth Urban Service Districts and for recognition of persons lawfully performing work regu- lated by the Fifth Urban Service District without a certifit~ate of competency, all to be effective upon the implementation of a uniform Ordinance providing for a centralized examinating Board having representation from all the Urban Service Districts in Duval County.
