WfiF'' AS, the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida, pursuant to its duly
adopted Ordinance No. 80-65-8 (Sewer Service Charges), Ordinance No.
80-59-3 and Ordinance No. 80-61-6 (Water Service Charges), charges
its sewer and water custc~ners outside the city limits of the City
of Atlantic Beach, Florida rates of 50~ in excess of the rates
charged customers within the city limits of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida., and
WHEIREAS, the Florida State Legislature at its recent Special Session
has adopted a Statute, being identified as Senate Bill No. 281, which
permits a municipality to charge its sewer and wager custoa~xs outside
their municipal boundaries a rate of 50~ in excess of the. rates within
the boundaries of the municipality only after a public hearing, at
which all the users of the sewer and water system and cxnrners, tenants
or .occupants of property so served and all other interested persons
have an opportunity to be heard.
NOW, TFIERE~bRE, BE I'i' RESOLVED BY THE CITY (FISSION OF THE CITY OF
ATLANTIC BEAC~i, FLORIDA, AS FOLIAWS:
1. The City Commission of the City of Atlantic Beach, Florida
will eanvene in Official Special Session for the p e
of a public hearing at 8:00 O'clock P.M. on the '~ day
of December, 1970.
2. The purpose of this Official Special Session is to hear all
interested parties i.n the matter of water and sewer rates
for service outside the boundaries of the City of Atlantic
Beach, Florida.
