WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Expressway Authority is
having plans and specifications prepared for rebuild-
ing Atlantic Boulevard from Intracoastal Waterway East
to the Atlantic ocean; and
WHEREAS` The Jacksonville Expressway Authority is
having plans and specifications pr~:par~d for rebuilding
~~ayport Road.Narth from Atlantic-Boulevard to the USNS.,
Mayport; and ~ . _ , .,.
WHEREAS, The City of Atlantic Beach will be
affected by said plans and specfi~ati~ons of those
portions of roadway adjacent to andi crossing. through
the City of Atlantic Beach, and is vitally concerned with
the proposed design;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:.. that the City Ct7mct
mission of the City of Atlantic Beach does hereby re-
questthe Jacksonville Expressway Authority ar~d the
State Road Department of Florida to keep it advised of
the progress and status of said plans and specifications;
and does further request that it be given the opportunity
to view said plans and specificatioa~s prior to final
approval thereof, to the end that c~oop~ration and coor-
dination may be assured.
